Elf Pranks- Day 16- Mad Libs

Elf Pranks- Day 16- Mad Libs

The elves found brand new Mad Libs books for the kids to do when they got up. They also got a little crazy with doing some of their own, too.

Elf Prank- Day 15- Christmas Ornaments

Elf Prank- Day 15- Christmas Ornaments

While the kids were sleeping, the elves were again busy. They created hand made, original ornaments by sewing flat felt and needle felting roving felt. Note the Christmas tree ornament and the Santa one.

This led to days of needle felting and a continuation of the wet felting that had taken place to make the balls you see in the laps of the elves.

Elf Pranks- Day 14- Sliced Bananas

Elf Pranks- Day 14- Sliced Bananas.

As you can see, the elves wanted the kids to eat bananas. What you can't see is that the elves used some pretty cool magic to have the bananas be sliced inside the peel before they were even opened!

Here are the instructions from Instructables... http://www.instructables.com/id/Pre-sliced-Banana-Prank/

Intro

Pre-sliced Banana Prank!

Imagine how surprised you would be if you peeled a banana and it was already cut into regular chunks. Yup, that's what I thought.

This instructable is about a prank I like to do that never fails to surprise people, especially if you tell people it's a new type of genetically modified banana! It's low-cost and quick.

I am not responsible for any split sides, cracked ribs or any other injuries that may occur with this prank.

Elf Pranks- Day 13 Popcorn Garland

Elf Pranks- Day 13 Popcorn Garland

Well, the elves were busy making popcorn and stealing the cranberries to make garland for the Christmas tree. They even tried dying the popcorn green but it didn't work well for "them". The garland was a lot of fun and looked pretty on the tree.

Elf Pranks- Day 12 Popcorn and Movie Night

Elf Pranks- Day 12 Popcorn and Movie Night

The elves thought it would be really cool if the whole family watched the Polar Express together, a holiday family tradition, and ate yummy popcorn with the hot air popper.

Elf Pranks- Day 11 Painted Toenails

Elf Pranks- Day 11 Painted Toenails... Daddy's.

I didn't take any pictures of the Elves painting Daddy's toenails sloppily and secretly in the night and leaving the girls pretty new Christmas colored polish to do mani/pedi with.

Elf Pranks- Day 10 Dental Floss

Elf Pranks- Day 10 Dental Floss fun.

The elves got into the dental floss and got all tangled up! They had sword fights with the flossers.

Elf Pranks Day 9- Cotton Snow Balls

Elf Pranks Day 9. The elves got into the cotton balls. They apparently had a snow ball fight with them. They made a cotton snowman.

Elf Pranks Day 8- Rice Krispies™!

Day 8- Rice Krispies Fun.

The elves were apparently elated that their foster family had purchased some Rice Krispies™. The guys on the front of the cereal box are elves just like them. So, they played and had a great time with the cereal. Note the Rice Krispies "Snow" Angels.

Elf Pranks Day 7- Trains

The elves got out the train set and built them all over the living room and dining room. The kids played with them too but also still had to pick them up.

Elf Pranks Day 6- Stolen Art Stuff

Day 6- Art stuff used and left out for the kids to play with when the get up.

Elf Pranks Day 5- Masking Tape Spiderwebs

The Elves made a huge mess with a web of sticky masking tape throughout the house. They even got a little "caught up" in their own prank.

Elf Pranks Day 4- Breakdancing and Videos

Day 4 Elves did some breakdancing and left some YouTube videos up for the kids to watch.

Elf Pranks Day 3- Toilet Papering

This was the last prank they played as they showed up. They T.P.'d our living room and dining room. The kids were more than happy to clean up after their fun loving Elves.

Elf Prank Day 2- Paper Snowflakes

They still hadn't appeared, but they were playing pranks. They made some pretty cool snowflakes with paper and left some for the kids to do when they got up.

Elf Prank One- Dry Erase Markers on our family pics

11/29/11 The Elves have arrived but they haven't appeared yet.

As noted in the previous email string from the last post, the elves seem to have been in our house somewhere.

The first indicator that we had that they were here was that they played their first prank. While we were sleeping, they used dry erase markers to draw all over our family pictures.

The Elf Request...

Welcome to the Elf on the Shelf Blog

These were the activities of the at our house this November and December of 2011. If you are not familiar with the Elves, the official Elf on the Shelf website would help and get the book. We don't use either for our family tradition. This was our third year welcoming the young elves who had been doing too much mischief up in the North Pole. Santa was glad to have them come stay with us for until Christmas Eve when he eats his cookies and milk and drops off our presents. Our youngest (4) and middle (8) were really looking forward to having the elves and the tricks they play each night they are visiting.  See the thread of communication between us and Santa.

Dear Santa,

We want the elves to come again.  We will ALL clean up the messes.  The string mess was fun.  Audra liked the sticky notes.  It was fun to play with the elves in the morning.  Please have the elves wear warm clothes.  Please send 6 elves so Clooney can have an elf.  If you have an elf dog, that would be good too.  We would like the elves to do all our schoolwork and our jobs and bring us surprises.  Audra would like the elves to make her a teeter totter.  Elijah would like beyblades.  Aria wants Mario Cart.  We will put out art supplies for the elves and teach them to make crafts.  We will also feed the elves healthy food and try to teach them to behave and act lovingly and teach them to read.  Audra will teach them to speak Spanish.  We would like the elves to make cookies also and we will share them.  When will the elves be here?  Thank you very much!

Love,
Momma, Daddy, A***, E*****, A****, and Clooney

Dear Segura Family,

We have a big problem here at the north pole.  The six elves I was going to send you have run away!  We have been looking for days but there is just no sign of them.  We have issued a red alert to all of Santa's helpers so that they can help find Muffin Face, Plunka, Buggie, ClooCloo, ElfDaddy, and ElfMomma.  So PLEASE, if you see them, notify me at once!  Remember that the elves like to eat-this may be the key to finding them!

Love,
Santa Claus

I hope this email finds you well.  It is very cold at the North Pole today. It is -20. I am very busy getting the toys ready for Christmas.  I have been looking for families that can help teach my young elves about Christmas and care for them while we are so busy here.  As I'm sure you understand, it can be difficult to get things done with young elves under foot!  I am hoping that next year they will be more mature and a bigger help to me.  Of course, if you enjoy the elves this year, they may want to keep coming back to your home each Christmas.  Any day now, your elves should be arriving. I will pick them up on Christmas Eve when I deliver your toys.  I do not have any elf dogs available right now, but I do have two girls and a boy.  It's funny, because I have elves with exactly the same names as all three of you!  The older girl is named Muffin face, the younger girl is Plunka, and the boy is named Buggie!  It should be easy for you to remember their names!

I should warn you that the elves can be a bit messy.  These elves are still learning, so be gentle if things are a little messy in the morning. They are very loving and friendly and ready to learn from you. Be ready to teach them all about Christmas and the love of God, so they can bring this love and knowledge back with them to the North Pole.  They love to hide and play, especially at night, while everyone else is sleeping.  And yes, they do like to watch TV and they might bring presents.  You will just have to wait and see!  I promise, you will have lots of fun!

I think you should be a good family for my elves.  I know you three are gentle and kind and will help these elves learn good manners.  Be sure to put out crackers and water for the elves as you wait for their arrival. They are shy at first and will usually hide when they first arrive. The crackers sound like crunching snow, and the water is like melted North Pole Snowflakes.   It will help them feel at home and want to come meet you.

We hope you enjoy sharing your Christmas season with these elves. They are looking forward to meeting you.

Please update us from time to time as to how the elves are doing.

Dear Santa,

The elves are at our house.  They are only doing boring things.  We want them to do the string mess and the sticky notes too.  We want them to write jokes on sticky notes and stick them all over the house.  We also want to see them soon!  How do you talk to the elves?  Do you talk to the elves?  We want them to scare Aria.  Do elves like Beyblades?  I want them to buy me some.  Do elves like snow?  We want the elves to do their jobs for us.  We will make beds for them.  We will write their names on the beds.  We will also feed them.  If we forget, we will slap ourselves in the face.  Just kidding.  We really will feed them though.

Love,
E***** and A****
